Athletics at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's 100 metres
The 100 - meter race of women in the 2012 Olympics in London was held on 3 and 4 August 2012 at London's Olympic Stadium. 79 athletes took part.
There were four qualifying rounds (Preliminary Round). The respective first two and the two fastest runners qualified this time for the prelims, seven of which took place. Here is qualified in each case the first three and the three fastest time athletes for the semifinals. The semi-final was played in three runs, in which the two best starters, and yet the two fastest qualified for the finals.
