Bílsko (Strakonice District)

Bílsko ( German Bílsko ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 15 kilometers southeast of Strakonice and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Bílsko is located in the Šumava foothills at the mouth of the creek Měkynecký creek in the Bilsky. To the north rises the Kráseka (554 m), to the east of the Hrad (666 m), in the southeast of Jelení vrch ( 545 m) and in the southwest of Ovčarky (593 m) and Neděliště (602 m).

Neighboring towns are Chrást in the north, Pivkovice, Skočice and Lidmovice in the northeast, and Krašlovice Vitice in the east, in the southeast Budyně, Utesov in the south, Krajníčko the southwest, Měkynec in the west and Záluží in the northwest.

History

On the mountain Hrad there used to be an old Slavic fortified settlement. Below the Hrad was an offshoot of the Gold Trail between Passau and Prague, where the village was created. Since 1350, the existence of a parish church in Blsko is handed down. Laterally to the church was a stronghold of the Vladiken Blsko. It is believed that Petr Chelčický descended mother of this generation. Ondřej Blsko 1395 was castellan on the Helfenburg in years.

Blsko was destroyed during the Hussite Wars. In the Thirty Years' War, the village was burned down again. 1630 was the restoration of the church. The last priest officiated in 1649 Blsko, after which the church was a branch of Bavorov. The village belonged from the 18th century to the possessions of the Schwarzenberg.

After the abolition of patrimonial regimes was 1848, the municipality Bílsko, which then belongs 1850-1950 for Okres Pisek until 1960 and since then Okres Vodňany to Okres Strakonice. At the beginning of 1974 were incorporated in 1976 and Záluží Netonice on April 1.

The municipality consists of the villages Bílsko Bílsko ( Bílsko ) Netonice ( Nettonitz ) and Záluží ( Salusch ).

Attractions

  • James the Greater Church, since 1350 mentioned as a parish church. After an overhaul in 1630, the church became a branch church of Bavorov.
