Borstendorf is a municipality in the Erzgebirge District in Saxony ( Germany ). The municipality belongs to the administrative organization Wildenstein.

Geography

The community Borstendorf is a Waldhufendorf. The western boundary of the parish is the Floeha. From there, the place attracts in an easterly direction to a height of around 500 m. The lowest point is the Floeha with 330 m. East of the town is the Röthenbacher forest.

Neighboring communities

Borstendorf bordered to the northwest and north by Leubsdorf, on the northeast by Eppendorf, in the southeast and south by Lengefeld and to the west by Grünhainichen.

History

1369 later deserted Röthenbach (an Vorwerk Castle Rauenstein ) first mentioned. The first mention of Borstendorf is detectable as Borsendorf 1378. With the Reformation in 1539 is Borstendorf branch church of the parish churches forest. With the onset of rafting on the Föha a raft place is set up to 1573. 1617 a school was first mentioned. A unanimous council decision to resign from the Management Association of Wildenstein and integration into the community Leubsdorf in the former district of Freiberg in 2006 was unsuccessful. Thereupon, a citizens' initiative founded.

Memorial stones on the town hall square and at the ceremonial hall of the cemetery recall two unknown Jewish concentration camp prisoners. Your tomb and a stone cross located on the local cemetery.
