BraniÄevo District
Braničevo ( Браничевски округ, Braničevski okrug ) is an administrative district in the northeast of the Serbian heartland. The population of the entire district is 253 492 inhabitants.
The main administrative headquarters are in the town of Požarevac which makes a large number of communication and management tasks. In Požarevac there is also a large transport and motorway junction.

History
Mid-19th century, in the time of the Serbian emancipation, Požarevac and Kragujevac became the second official residence of the then Prince Miloš Obrenović. He has erected also at this time a number of monuments in Požarevac who remember his.

- Art Gallery of Milena Pavlović Barili - ( a respected, surrealist artist and poet ).
1842 was first listed in the Balkans in Požarevac William Shakespeare's masterpiece " Romeo and Juliet".

Almost all companies focus on cities Požarevac and environment. The best-known industrial giant is the Agriculture and Industrial Combine Požarevac that a large number of workers employed and a quarter of the food needs of Serbia covers.
