Bruges, Gironde

Bruges is a French town with 15 512 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Gironde department in the region of Aquitaine. The city is located in the arrondissement of Bordeaux and there in the Canton of Le Bouscat.

Bruges is located about five kilometers north of Bordeaux. The community belongs to the community association Communauté Urbaine de Bordeaux and is accessible by bus lines of the TBC.

Twinning

Since 1989, a partnership between Bruges and the German community Umkirch the Baden-Württemberg district of Breisgau - Black Forest. Since 2005, a partnership with the Spanish community Polanco, Cantabria.
