Buzice

Buzice ( German Busitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers east of Blatná in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Buzice is located in the hill country Blatenská pahorkatina. The village is situated on the left bank of the Lomnice at the confluence of the streams Mračovský Potok, Potok Paštický and Škvořetický creek. To the north lie the ponds Krejčí and Vilimec, south of the Velky drážský rybnik and southwest of the Buzičký fishpond. In the north, the Na Remízku rises (460 m), northeast of the Na Vrších ( 463 m ) in the east of Buzíček ( 498 m), southeast the Boudovka (512 m) and the Pahorek (531 m), in the south of Křesovec ( 496 m) and the Matčí hora (486 m ) and northwest of the Nový háj (472 m). From Blatná a four- kilometer stretch of state road II/121 leads to Buzice, a connection to the rest of the II/121 at Mirotice is not yet established.

Neighboring towns are Skaličany, Újezd ​​Skaličan and Vahlovice in the north, Dvořetice, Laciná, Václavov and Cermak in the northeast, Buzičky, Zbuzy, mirec, Straz, Strážovice and Neradov in the east, Lom, Jarotice, Chlum and Pohodnice the southeast, Škvořetice, Pacelice, Bažantnice and Němčice in the south, Hněvkov, Mačkov, Lapac, Jízdárna and Hříbárna the southwest, Buzičký Dvůr Sídliště Nad Lomnici, Blatná and Sídliště 2 in the west and Bezdědovice and Paštiky in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Buzice took place in 1384 as the seat of Predota of Buzice. The widely branched Vladikengeschlecht Buzický of Buzice acquired in the course of time various scattered goods in the region. In 1498 acquired Zdeniek Lev of Rosental the Good Buzice of Bušek the Younger of Buzice and opened it his rule to Blatná. The festivals in 1527 called desolate. At the end of the 16th century, the owner of the domain Blatná, Wenzel Rozdrazowsky of Rozdrazow let the celebrations converted into a store. After it had died childless in 1691 Franz Ignaz Rozdrazowsky of Rozdrazow, Counts Kolowrat Krakowsky inherited the rule. In 1709, acquired Josef Graf Serényi of Kis- Sereny rule Blatná. 1798 were the Barons of Hildprandt and Ottenhausen owner of the domain.

In 1837 Busitz consisted of 62 houses with 443 inhabitants. In the village there was a tavern and a mill. Away from the monolayer were Zbusitz or Buziček ( Buzičky ), the Grange Neuhof ( Buzičký Dvůr ) with a sheep farm and the bulk soil to the converted Hrad or Zbuzy old castle ( Fixed Buzice ) with a gamekeeper's house ( Bažantnice ). Vicarage was Blatna. Until the mid-19th century Busitz always remained the rule Blatná submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Buzice / Busitz formed in 1850 with the districts Zbuzy and Václavov a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district of the Blatná. In the wake of the repeal of the Okres Blatná the community in 1960 associated with the Okres Strakonice. On 1 January 1974, the annexation took place after Blatná. Buzice and Václavov dissolved on January 1, 1993 again from Blatná off and formed the community Buzice.
