Castiglione Messer Marino
Castiglione Messer Marino ( in the local dialect: lù Cuašt'gliaun ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1859 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region. The municipality is situated approximately 58 km south-southeast of Chieti, part of the Comunità montana Alto Vastese and directly borders the province of Isernia ( Molise ).
History
The community in the lower Apennines was first mentioned in documents in 1027.
