Chon Daen District

Amphoe Chon Daen ( Thai อำเภอ ชนแดน ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) Phetchabun province. The Phetchabun province located in the southeastern part of the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Amphoe Chon Daen is located in the west of Phetchabun province and borders clockwise as seen from the north to the Amphoe Wang Pong, Mueang Phetchabun, Nong Phai and Bueng Sam Phan in the province of Phetchabun, Nong Bua in the province of Nakhon Sawan and Dong Charoen and Thap Khlo in the province of Phichit.

History

Chon Daen was created initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) 1917. In 1956 the collection to a full district ( Amphoe ).

Management

Amphoe Chon Daen consists of nine sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 125 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Chon Daen ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ชนแดน ) consists of parts of the Tambon Chon Daen,
  • Dong Khui ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดง ขุย ) consists of parts of Tambon Dong Khui and Takut Rai,
  • Tha Kham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า ข้าม ) consists of parts of the tambon Tha Kham.

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
