Nam Nao District

Amphoe Nam Nao ( Thai อำเภอ น้ำ หนาว ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Phetchabun. The Phetchabun province located in the southeastern part of the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Amphoe Nam Nao located in the northeast of the province of Phetchabun and borders from north clockwise as seen at the Amphoe Phu Luang and Phu Kradueng in Loei province, at Amphoe Phu Man in the province of Khon Kaen, at Amphoe Khon San in the province of Chaiyaphum, as well as Amphoe Lom Sak and Lom, the Kao in Phetchabun province.

History

Nam Nao was founded as a small district ( King Amphoe ) on 16 November 1978 by the Tambon Nam Nao broke out and Lak Dan Amphoe Lom Sak from. This advancement to Amphoe on July 19, 1991.

Attractions

Due to the mountainous area of Amphoe Nam Nao offers many natural beauties that lie mainly in the Nam Nao National Park.

Management

Amphoe Nam Nao consists of four sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 30 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
