Creazzo

Creazzo is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 11,068 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Vicenza in the Veneto region. The community is located about 5.5 km west- southwest of Vicenza.

History

1513 Battle of Creazzo (also Battle of La Motta ) took place here. Spanish and Habsburg troops fought under the leadership of Georg von Frundsberg and others against the Republic of Venice and won a surprising victory.

Traffic

Passing through the municipality Strada Regionale 11 Padana Superiore. Parallel south is the Autostrada A4. This is reached via the junction Vicenza Ovest. The railway route from Verona to Vicenza ( as a section of the route from Milan to Venice) runs through the community. The nearest train stations are located in Vicenza and in Altavilla Vicentina.

Sports

In May 2009, the BMX Championship took place in Creazzo.
