David Sulkovsky

David Sulkovsky ( born June 14, 1978 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German professional ice hockey player who plays for the Schwenningen Wild Wings in the German Ice Hockey League since October 2013.

Career

David Sulkovsky began his career with the EHC Freiburg, for whom he played in 1995 and the first games in the 1st League South. After three years in this league and 47 games in the Bundesliga winger moved to second division four years im Breisgau former league rivals Heilbronner EC in the Bundesliga, the second division. 1999 signed a contract with Sulkovsky the Hannover Scorpions of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for which it exactly 100 times went hunting for goals in two years. After the following season 2001/ 02, in which he scored 25 points scorer for the Nuremberg Ice Tigers in 57 games, the links gunman was nominated for two matches of the German national team. There was a less successful year at the Hamburg Freezers, who left the native of Freiburg for the season 2003/ 04 towards Frankfurt Lions. In his first year in Frankfurt Sulkovsky was with the Hessen German masters. In the 15 playoff games, he scored five points, a year later, in eleven final round games, only two - the Lions eliminated in the semi-final against rivals Adler Mannheim. During the season, the Lions were qualified as German champions automatically for the IIHF European Champions Cup in 2005, in two games at the international level, the Lions lost both, the attacker but failed to reach a point.

In his last season in the Main metropolis David Sulkovsky reached in 44 games, only four points scorer, and he only shortly before the start of training a contract with Premier League rivals Iserlohn Roosters signed after a long club search, for actually Thomas Greilinger was provided. This had already signed a contract with the sour countries, but requested due to an old knee injury to termination of the contract, so that the space for Sulkovsky was free. The attacker could convince immediately, which is why extended his contract by two years to 2009 on Seilersee. At the beginning of the season 2007/ 08, the husband and father of a child broke his arm and had to pause for almost nine weeks, which is why he was able to complete only 39 games in the main round. Next year, he remained faithful to the injury problems, so that one could deny Sulkovsky first few games. After a patella fracture the season was finally stopped completely for him. He subsequently received no new contract offer from the Roosters. For the 2009/10 season he signed a contract with the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg. With Wolfsburg he was in season 2010/11 runners-up. Since August 2011 Sulkovsky plays again at the Hannover Scorpions. On January 11, 2013, the striker in the derby against Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg Hannover Scorpions played his 700th DEL game.
