Geographical Location

Dieterskirchen is located in the Upper Palatinate region - center between nine castle v.Wald and Oberviechtach in Ascha Valley.

History

Dieterskirchen was first documented in 1301 as " Dietholtschirchen ". The place belonged to the Electorate of Bavaria and was the seat of a closed Hofmark the Barons Horneck of Hornberg. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818 the former municipality Dieterskirchen.

Incorporations

In 1945 or 1946 parts of the disbanded community Weislitz were incorporated. The formerly independent communities of Bach and Prackendorf were incorporated on 1 July 1975 at the municipal reform in Bavaria.

Population Development

Policy

On May 1, 1976, in the course of municipal reform, the formerly independent communities Dieterskirchen, Neukirchen - Balbini, Thanstein and Schwarzhofen have joined together to manage community Nine vorm Wald. First Mayor of the municipality Dieterskirchen is Hans Grassl (CSU ).

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 280 thousand in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) equivalent to € 34 thousand.

Coat of arms

Blazon: In red over a silver three- Berg, is a red horn, a silver church. Coat of arms since 1978.

Economy and infrastructure

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in manufacturing 61 persons work at the workplace; in trade and transport, however, none at all. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 361 in the manufacturing sector, there were two farms, in construction 0 companies. In addition, in 1999, there were 53 farms with an agricultural area of 907 ha, of which 606 ha of arable land and 299 ha of permanent grassland.

There are the following facilities (as of 1999):

  • Elementary schools: 1 with 2 teachers and 62 students
