Drentwede
Drentwede is a municipality in the district of Diepholz in Lower Saxony. She is a member municipality of the velvet municipality Barnstorf, which has its administrative headquarters in the spots Barnstorf.

Geography
Drentwede is between the nature park Dumber and the Natural Park Geest approximately midway between Bremen and Osnabrück.

History
Incorporations
Drentwede was from 1820 to 1852 part of the Office Diepholz, from then on until 1859 part of the Office Auburg. 1859 was once again the now enlarged office Diepholz which was converted into the circle Diepholz 1885.
The former municipality Bockstedt and current district was created in 1909 from a part of the community Aldorf. 1925, the municipality Drentwede was connected to the power grid of the Nike ( Lower Saxony power plants). The Municipal Office which so far always found himself in the house of the respective mayor, was established in 1948 in the No. 14 ( Council ) home Drentwede. 1974 went with the municipal reform in Lower Saxony all administrative tasks to the Municipality Barnstorf. The community Bockstedt was incorporated as part of the reform on 1 March 1974.
