Dünwald
Dünwald is a municipality in Unstrut Hainich in Thuringia. It was re-formed on 1 January 1994 from the formerly independent communities Beberstedt, Hüpstedt and Zaunröden.

Geography
Dünwald lies on the Muschelkalk plateau of fertilizer on the northern edge of the Unstrut Hainich- circle.

Culture and sights
Museums
The local museum has been set up in the manor house, the oldest building in town ( 1582 ).
Parish Church of St Martin
The construction of a predecessor church was consecrated after three years of construction by Bishop Christoph Ignatius of Gudenus on June 28, 1740. The high altar dates from the Protestant Kilianikirche Mühlhausen ( 1725) and have been prepared in Hüpstedt 1984. Above the main door in a niche, a sculpture of St. Martin of limestone. It was made in 2002 by local artist Heinz Günther and Peter Svarel from Bratislava. In the years between 2000 and 2005 extensive renovations were made.

Others
Towards the end of the Second World War, the road to Reifenstein / Leinefelde was installed a mobile launcher for V2 rockets north. More than 200 forced laborers from Holland and France, which were housed in a barracks near the pits I and II had to do heavy earthworks in freezing cold.
