Geography

Geographical Location

Dürnstein in Styria is located about 20 km southeast of Malmesbury and about 5 km north of Friesach.

The only Cadastral is Dürnstein.

History

The municipality Dürnstein was built in 1849 /50.

Economy and infrastructure

According to Census of 2001, there are 11 workplaces with 56 employees in the community as well as 107 commuters and 32 commuters. There are 21 agricultural and forestry holdings (5 of them in the main acquisition ), which together manage 933 ha (1999 ).

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms came into effect on 1 January 1987. Coat Description: Green in a silver shield a main border horned black panther with open mouth.
