East Africa cricket team

The East African Cricket Team was a cricket team which took part in international competitions 1958-1989. It was represented at the States of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia and was therefore one of the " national ", in which players from more than one state came.

History

The first game completed the team in 1958, against a non-European representative of South Africa. In 1966 it joined the ICC in as an Associate Member and became the Cricket World Cup 1975 invited. This is completed in the first round, his only three One Day Internationals, which, however, all lost, and was eliminated from the first round as a group Last group. In 1979, the team in the ICC Trophy failed in the first round and thus failed to qualify for the Cricket World Cup 1979. 1981, drew the strongest part of the team from Kenya back from the team and took henceforth as an independent team in international competitions part.
