Fells Connector Parkways

The fellsway West in Medford

As Fells Connector Parkways, a group designated by the historic parkways in the metropolitan area called Greater Boston, Massachusetts in the United States. Specifically, these are sections of roads The fellsway, fellsway East and West fellsway in the two cities Malden and Medford. The name Fells Connector Parkways refers to the fact that the associated roads connect the protected areas Mystic River Reservation and Middlesex Fells Reservation together. Created in 1895 by Charles Eliot and the Olmsted Brothers, they were taken in 2003 on the National Register of Historic Places. The road system is managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR ) and is part of the Metropolitan Park System of Greater Boston.
