Date: February 23, Anett Pötzsch surprisingly won by defeated the reigning world champion Linda Fratianne. When the judges there was no majority from Eastern Europe. Linda Fratianne was contrary to expectations do not win the long program. Thus, the residue from the mandatory program was too large. Another surprise was Denise Biellmann, who won the freestyle for themselves.
