Frank Hördler

Frank Hördler (born 26 January 1985 in Bad Muskau ) is a German ice hockey player (defender). Since the 2003/ 04 season he played in the DEL for the Polar Bears Berlin.

Career

Frank Hördler already played in youth hockey on ERC Selb. He gained his first experience in professional hockey in the season 2001 /02 the ERC Selb in the big leagues. There the links Sagittarius also played the following season, although was better for him, but he could help with the team's relegation only in the relegation round. For the 2003/04 season the offensive defender joined the polar bear Berlin, where he was fitted with a mining license. Nevertheless, it was used in the first year exclusively in the DEL team of locals and only played in the play- offs for the Regional team, with whom he managed to move up to the premier league. In the following two seasons, he was only sporadically used in the second team and spent large parts of the seasons in the DEL, where he was with the polar bears six times German Champion 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012. In 2010, he won the European Trophy with the polar bears.

Internationally

Hördler played at the U- 18 World Cup 2002 for the first time for a DEB - selection, with which he descended. A year later, he just missed the direct re-emergence with the team. With the Junior choice he made at the Junior World Championship in 2004 the rise of the 1st Division. Even with the senior team, he rose to his first tournament used for the selection, at the Division I 2006 World Cup.
