George V. Hansen

George Vernon Hansen ( born 14 September 1930 in Tetonia, Teton County, Idaho ) is a former American politician. Between 1965 and 1969, and from 1975 to 1985, he was the second electoral district of the state of Idaho in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Early years and career

George Hansen attended the public schools of his home and then Ricks College in Rexburg. Between 1956 and 1957, and from 1962 to 1963 he studied at the Idaho State University. In the meantime, he has also completed the Grimm's Business College in 1958. Between the elementary school and a student, was George Hansen from 1951 to 1954 member of the U.S. Air Force. Between 1964 and 1970 he was a member of the reserve of the U.S. Navy. From 1958 to 1965 he worked in the insurance industry.

Political career

George Hansen was a member of the Republican Party. In the years 1961 and 1962 he was mayor of Alameda, which was later merged with Pocatello.
