Butch Otter

Clement Leroy " Butch" Otter ( May 3, 1942 in Caldwell, Idaho ) is an American politician of the Republican Party since 2007 and Governor of the U.S. state of Idaho. By the end of 2006, Otter Congress Member of House of Representatives.

Career

Otter visited the former Boise Junior College (Boise State University). With the completion of its political and scientific training he received in 1967 the Bachelor. His political career began in 1972 with the entry into the House of Representatives from Idaho, where he remained until 1976. In 1978, he ran for his party's nomination for the gubernatorial election, but was defeated Allan Larsen, who lost again against the Democratic incumbent John V. Evans.

Between 1987 and 2001 he served as lieutenant governor of his home state. As of January 3, 2001 Otter was then a deputy in the House of Representatives in Washington, where he graduated three legislative periods. In November 2006 he was elected with a vote share of 52 % to Democrat Jerry Brady the 32nd Governor of Idaho.
