Geography
Goose Lake is located at 41 ° 58'03 " north latitude and 90 ° 22'58 " west longitude and extending over 0.82 km ². The village is located about 15 kilometers west of the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Illinois. The Wisconsin border runs approximately 80 km to the north. Goose Lake is one of two settlements and the only independent municipality in the Deep Creek Township.
At the west edge of Goose Lake is the lake of the same and the Goose Lake Wildlife Management Area Lige.
Towns nearby Goose Lake are Bryant (5.2 km east), Six Mile (10,6 km to the southeast ), Charlotte (7.3 miles west) and Preston ( 9.9 km north ).
The nearest large towns are Dubuque ( 75.9 km to the north), Rockford, Illinois (142 km ENE ), the Quad Cities ( 66.2 km SSW ) and Cedar Rapids (133 miles west).

By Goose Lake runs in east-west direction of the Iowa Highway 136 All other roads are subordinate partly unpaved driveways and local roads.
