Wheatland is a small town ( with a status of "City" ) in Clinton County in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Iowa. In 2010, Wheatland had 764 inhabitants.

Geography

Wheatland is located at 41 ° 49'54 " north latitude and 90 ° 50'18 " west longitude and extending 1.57 km ². The town is located 3.2 km west of the Wapsipinicon River, a right tributary of the Mississippi. This is around 55 km to the east and forms the border with Illinois. The Wisconsin border runs around 90 km north. Wheatland is the center of Spring Rock Township in the extreme southwest of Clinton County.
