Lost Nation is located at 41 ° 57'50 " north latitude and 90 ° 49'04 " west longitude and extending 1.64 km ². The village is located about 60 kilometers west of the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Illinois. The Wisconsin border runs approximately 70 km to the north. Lost Nation is the only independent municipality in Sharon Township in the northwest corner of Clinton County.
