The Eastern Iowa Airport ( IATA: CID, ICAO: KCID ) is the airport of the city of Cedar Rapids in Linn County in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Iowa. It is located 15 km south of the center of Cedar Rapids and 38 km north- west of Iowa City. The airport is owned by the City of Cedar Rapids and is operated by the Cedar Rapids Airport Commission.

Location

The Eastern Iowa Airport is located in the southwest of Linn County. It lies about 90 km west of the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Illinois. In addition to Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are the nearest larger towns Waterloo (101 km north-west ), Dubuque (132 km northeast), the Quad Cities (126 km southeast) and Iowa's capital Des Moines (191 km west-southwest ).
