Geography

Earl Ling lies in the Donau -Wald. The deepest point is in large Tiefenbach to 326 m above sea level. NN. The highest elevations in the municipality are the Stone Mountain ( 999 m), the Geißriegel ( 1043 m), Three Tannenriegel ( 1090 m) and the Einödriegel ( 1121 m) and close the Graflinger valley to the east. Snow chaos in the winter 2005/2006

The community Earl Ling was particularly hard hit by the snow chaos in winter 2005/2006, which also led to the collapse of houses and agricultural buildings, especially in the higher districts. History

Earl Ling belonged to Rentamt Straubing and Deggendorf district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. The settlement of the Graflinger Tales was made ​​from Metten monastery, which was entrusted 790 AD with the colonization of the Bavarian Forest. Mayor

First mayor is Willibald Zißlsberger, who moved from the SPD to the CSU in May 2013. He was the successor of Johann Press ( FWG ), who did not run due to its retirement age in 2002. In March 2008 Zißlsberger was re-elected unopposed, as on 16 March 2014.
