Greg Moore (ice hockey)

Gregory " Greg" Moore ( born March 26, 1984 in Lisbon, Maine ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since 2012 in the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg in the German Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Greg Moore began his career as a hockey player in the U.S. National Team Development Program, for which he to 2002 American Hockey League and United States Hockey League was active from 2000 in the junior leagues North. Then he attended for four years, the University of Maine, for the hockey team he was parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association active. With the team he won the 2004 championship of the College Football Hockey East. During his university years he was in the fifth round selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 when a total of 143 players from the Calgary Flames for which, however, he never played. Instead, he ran from 2006 to 2009 for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League on. In the 2007 /08 season he also played six games for their partners New York Rangers in the National Hockey League.

The majority of the 2009/10 season spent Moore at the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the AHL. Shortly before the end of the season he was transferred to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL, where he played four more NHL inserts, but also came there mainly for the AHL farm team Syracuse Crunch used. The season 2010/11 the Americans began with the Adirondack Phantoms in the AHL and finished it in their league rivals Springfield Falcons. For the 2011/12 season the two-time Junior World Champion was obliged by the Augsburger Panther of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

For the 2012/13 season the beefy two-way striker moved to Wolfsburg Grizzly Adams, where his contract was extended until early end of the 2013/14 season. In the second game of the 2013/14 season against ERC Ingolstadt, Moore injured by a non- sanctioned match in the band check by Tim Conboy hard and suffered a cruciate ligament injury.

Internationally

For the U.S., Moore took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2002 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2003 and 2004. In the U18 World Cup in 2002 and the U20 World Cup 2004, he won with his team in each World Championship title.
