Gstadt am Chiemsee
Gstadt am Chiemsee ( officially: Gstadt a.Chiemsee ) is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim and a member of the administrative community Breitbrunn am Chiemsee. The community on the shores of Lake Chiemsee includes the hamlets Gollenshausen and Gstadt.

Geographical Location
Gstadt am Chiemsee is located around 10 km from Prien am Chiemsee, 12 km from Bad Endorf, 26 km from Rosenheim, 32 km from Wasserburg am Inn and 24 km from Traunstein. For the Federal Highway 8 (junction Bernau am Chiemsee ) is 15 km, the nearest train station is in Prien am Chiemsee. Gstadt has an important dock for numerous Chiemsee - ships, for example, they run regularly after Herrenchiemsee Chiemsee and woman.

History
Gstadt am Chiemsee belonged since its inception to Klosterfrau Chiemsee. From the mid-18th century to its secularization in 1803 Gstadt was an independent Hofmark of the monastery. The place was in the course of administrative reform in Bavaria in 1818 an independent political community.
