Oberhausen is located in the Main- Rhön.

History
855 the place was first mentioned. The former Office of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg, which belonged to the Frankish Empire Circle, was named after the secularisation of 1803 in Bavaria's favor in 1805 Archduke Ferdinand III. (Tuscany) left to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg and fell with this 1814 final at Bayern.

Monuments
Events
Hausen 's paddock and the starting point for the International Hauenstein Bergrennen. Almost all of the town's youth (and more) are in the physicians tomb, also the name of the club 's home organized: For the mountain race, a fan club has formed. Parts of the organization ( Board ) will be taken by the members.
The race has been held since 1970, the track length is 4.2 km, making it the second longest mountain race track in Germany. Since the return is passed through a circuit that includes the Hochrhönstraße fall to 14.6 km for a passage.
Sports
Hausen has two sports venues with Roth, and there are sports facilities in the Rhön Park Hotel.
