Havange
Havange ( German Havingen ) is a commune with 461 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Thionville -Ouest and the Canton Fontoy.
Geography
Havange is located about 15 kilometers west of Thionville on the Autoroute A30 ( Uckange - Longwy ) at an altitude 308-367 m above sea level. The municipality covers 9.65 km ².
To Havange include the district Gondrange.
History
953 was first mentioned as Havechingas, and 1473 Hefingen.
The place belongs since 1766 to France.
