Heumen

Heumen ( listen? / I ) is a municipality of the province of Gelderland.

Location and economic

The main town of Malden is immediately adjacent to Nijmegen and can be considered as a suburb on the southern edge of the city; most residents commute to work in Malden Nijmegen. The road to Venlo runs through the village. The other places, beyond the A73 Nijmegen -Venlo motorway, which has an exit to Malden lie more to the west and farming villages near the River Meuse. Also of importance is tourism.

Attractions

In Overasselt is the varied nature area " Hatertse s Overasselts Vennen " and the chorus of a late Gothic monastery church. South and east of Malden is a wooded area. In Overasselt there is a marina, some campsites and B & Bs.
