Rozendaal

( Listen? / I ) Rozendaal is a municipality of the province of Gelderland (Netherlands). It has 1503 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) and consists only of the village of the same name. Rozendaal is thus the population according to one of the smallest municipalities of the Netherlands.

Location and economic

Rozendaal is located on the south side of the preserve of the Veluwe. In the west of the site from the highway A12 Arnhem is - Utrecht limited, which Rozendaal separates from the northern outer quarters of the funds 's capital. History

Rozendaal was born from the glory Rosendael whose Lord lived in the castle of that name. It originated in the 14th century; the present building dates from the year 1721st The last important noble family that lived on Rosendael (and usually also the mayor of the municipality gave ) was the gender of Baron van Pallandt. Attractions

• The Rosendael Castle with the surrounding park, forest and garden.
