The Hopkins Township is one of 22 townships in Whiteside County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2010, the Hopkins Township had 2156 inhabitants.
Geography
The Hopkins Township is located in northwest Illinois on the north bank of the Rock River. The Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa is situated about 30 km west; the Wisconsin border is located about 80 km north.
The Hopkins Township is located at 41 ° 48 'N, 89 ° 49' W41.797777777778 - 89.809166666667 and extends over 93.2 km ², spread to 92.2 km ² land and 1.0 km ² water surface.
The Hopkins Township is located in the eastern center of Whiteside County and is bordered to the north by the Genesee Township, in the northeast of the Jordan Township, on the east by the Sterling Township, to the southeast by the Coloma Township, on the south by the Hume Township, to the southwest by Lyndon Township, on the west by Mount Pleasant Township, and on the northwest by the Clyde Township.
Traffic
