The Mount Pleasant Township is one of 22 townships in Whiteside County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2010, the Mount Pleasant Township had 4939 inhabitants.

Geography

The Mount Pleasant Township is located in northwestern Illinois. The Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa is located around 20 km to the west; the Wisconsin border is located about 85 km north.

The Mount Pleasant Township is located at 41 ° 47'59 " north latitude and 89 ° 55'33 " west longitude and extending over 92.46 km ².

The Morrison - Rockwood State Park is located in the extreme northwest of Mount Pleasant Township.

Traffic
