The Hahnaman Township is one of 22 townships in Whiteside County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2010, the Hahnaman Township had 399 inhabitants.
Geography
The Hahnaman Township is located in northwestern Illinois, approximately 50 km east of the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa. The border with Wisconsin is located about 100 km north.
The Hahnaman Township is located at 41 ° 37'40 " north latitude and 89 ° 41'20 " west longitude and extending over 92.71 km ². In the southeast of the township is drained by the Green River.
The Hahnaman Township is located in the extreme southeast of the Whiteside County and is bordered to the south and east to the Bureau at the Lee County. Within the Whiteside County Hahnaman the Township is bordered to the west by the Tampico Township, on the northwest by the Hume Township, and the north by the Montmorency Township.
Traffic
In a north-south direction, the Illinois State Route 40 runs through the township. All other roads are County Roads or more subordinate and partly unpaved roadways.
By the Southeastern Hahnaman Township is a railway line of the Union Pacific Railroad.
With the Whiteside County Airport is a small airport is around 10 km north of the Hahnaman Township. The nearest major airports are located about 100 km northeast Chicago Rockford International Airport and 80 km south west Quad City International Airport.
