Iván Raña

Iván Raña Fuentes ( born June 10, 1979) is a Spanish professional triathlete, Aquathlon World Champion (2001), Triathlon European Championships (2002, 2003) Triathlon World Champion ( 2002).

Career

In September 2000, Iván Raña launched in Sydney at the Olympic Games in triathlon, where he finished fifth. He was Aquathlon World Champion and 2002 World Triathlon Champion in the sprint, 2001. He was also Triathlon European Champion and could defend this title in 2003 successfully in 2002.

In 2004 he reached the 23rd place at the Olympic Games in Greece. In 2008 he started in Beijing for the third time in the Olympic Games, where he again finished fifth rank as in 2000.

In November 2012, he won the Erstaustragung the Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote and in November he competed in the Ironman Mexico for the first time on the Long Distance Triathlon ( Ironman), and won the race.

In July 2013 he qualified with his second place in Zurich for a starting place at Ironman Hawaii and the World Cup he was in October sixth.
