Jim Bunn

James Bunn ( born December 12, 1956 in McMinnville, Oregon ) is an American politician ( Republican). Between 1995 and 1997 he represented the fifth electoral district of the state of Oregon in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Jim Bunn attended the Dayton Union High School and then to 1977 the Chemeketa Community College. He finished his studies in 1979 at Northwest Nazarene College. After that, he was a lieutenant in the reserve of the National Guard of Oregon.

Between 1987 and 1995, Bunn was a member of the Senate of Oregon. In 1994 he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he no longer candidates Democrat Mike Kopetski replaced on January 3, 1995. But he could do only one term in Congress, because he was not re-elected in 1996. His defeat was related to the fact that he his second wife, Sonja Skurdal, who also worked as his assistant, more salary paid and received at any other assistant at that time.
