Blazon: Split; front in blue with a silver wave beams, about a golden lime leaf, including three 2-1 standing entwined gold rings; back in black gold eagle flight.

Blue and gold as the colors of Upper Lusatia form the foundation on which put the other symbols. The linden leaves as a symbol of sorbent indicates that parts of the circle are in the Sorbian settlement area. The waves are a reference to the rivers of the district ( Large and Small Röder, Schwarze Elster and Spree); during the three rings from the valid to 1952 coat of arms of the old circle Kamenz were taken. They remind us of the message of Lessing's ring parable and also that Gotthold Ephraim Lessing was born in Kamenz. They also symbolize the joining of the three different regions of the county ( Kamenz, Hoyerswerda, Dresdner country). The flight of the eagle is a symbol coat of arms of the former lords of Kamenz.
