Kelly Ayotte

Kelly A. Ayotte (* June 27, 1968 in Nashua, New Hampshire) is an American politician. Since January 3, 2011, she represented the state of New Hampshire in the U.S. Senate.

Life

After her schooling Ayotte studied at the Pennsylvania State University and Villanova University Law School. After her studies she was employed from 1994 to 1998 as a lawyer at the law firm McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton in Manchester.

From June 2004 to July 2009 Ayotte served as the Attorney General of the State of New Hampshire. She is a member of the Republican Party. On 5 November 2010 she won the Senate election in New Hampshire to Democrat Paul Hodes. She followed the Republican incumbent Judd Gregg, who did not run.

Kelly Ayotte is married and has two children. She is a member of the Catholic Church.
