Kobišnica
Kobišnica (Cyrillic Кобишница ) is a village in the Opština Negotin and the District of Bor in eastern Serbia.
Geography
Location
Kobišnica lies in the triangle Bulgaria - Serbia - Romania, and only a few kilometers from the Danube. The village is connected with the village Bukovce and lies on the River Jasenická Reka.
History
The first houses were built in the 15th and 16th centuries on the present site of the village. About the further history of the village is not known.
The villages Kobisnica and Bukovce formed until the end of World War I a town bearing the name Turbuhinovo. After 1914, the two villages Kobisnica and Bukovce were established from Turbuhinovo.
Population
According to the 2002 census (self- nomination) 1355 inhabitants lived in this village.
