Team Kolles is a German motor racing team of team boss Colin Kolles. From 2006 to 2009 it was under the name Futurecome in the DTM. 2009 and 2010 it took part in the 24 - hour race at Le Mans and in 2009 at the Le Mans Series.

History

Beginnings in the German Formula 3

The Team Kolles based in Greding in the Middle Franconian district of Roth was founded in 2000 and came first in the German Formula 3 Championship. Just one year later, Kolles driver Pierre Kaffer with his team win four race wins and long time fighting for the championship. At the end of the 2001 season stood for Kaffer a fourth place in the drivers' standings to book.

DTM

Between 2006 and 2009 the team took, initially under the name Futurecome, with Audi factory support to the DTM in part. For use were two -year-old vehicles Audi A4 Silhouette with which the team could enter no point success.

In the debut season Vanina Ickx drove the first vehicle, while the second cockpit was assigned at the beginning of the season to Olivier Tielemans. After three races, he was replaced by Jeroen Bleekemolen, who themselves in turn challenged only two races until he was replaced by Nicolas Kiesa. However, for health reasons Kiesa could not compete for the final two races in which he was represented by thed Björk.

Vanina Ickx kept her cockpit for the 2007 season. Was your teammate Adam Carroll, who left half of the season after five races in the GP2 Series. His vehicle then took over Winkelhock. In 2008, vehicles of Kolles were again steady. The first vehicle was awarded to Katherine Legge, while the second vehicle went to Albers. Le Mans Series and 24 Hours of Le Mans

For the 2009 season the team earned two Audi R10 TDI with which it has since competes in the Le Mans Series. A vehicle shared the pilot Charles Zwolsman junior, Andrew Meyrick and Narain Karthikeyan, Michael Krumm still sat in its place in the first race of the season in Barcelona at the wheel. The second vehicle piloted Albers and Christian Bakkerud, which were also supported in three of the five races of Giorgio Mondini. After a difficult first race, in which precipitation of a vehicle and the other crossed the finish line after problems with only several laps, following the 1000-kilometer race at Spa -Francorchamps both vehicles with positions could retract six and seven championship points. On another clear round finally followed the 1000- kilometer race at the Nürburgring in fourth place by Karthikeyan, Meyrick and Zwolsman the best result. Also, the season finale at Silverstone was a success, as the vehicles came fifth and sixth places and could be placed again in the points. In the team standings, the two Kolles team finally achieved the ranks seven and ten.

The highlight of the year for the team Kolles was formed to participate in the 24 - hour race at Le Mans 2009. Proven vehicles survived the long distance largely without problems. Charles Zwolsman and André Lotterer brought her car after 24 hours on seventh place, although her ​​team mate Narain Karthikeyan about to start in a fall from the pit wall dislocated his shoulder and could not participate in the race, so Zwolsman and Lotterer the race as had to deny a duo. Christian Bakkerud, Albers and Giorgio Mondini in the second Kolles Audi were at the race in ninth place and thus rounded off the successful outcome of the race from the perspective of Kolles.

Since 2010, the team led by Colin Kolles the Hispania Racing F1 Team in Formula 1 is engaged. At the Le Mans Series, they no longer participated since then. However, the team Kolles with his two Audi R10 TDI returned again to Le Mans for the 24 hour race in 2010. At the wheel of the first car Christophe Bouchut, Scott Tucker and Manuel Rodrigues took turns during the second vehicle of Albers, Oliver Jarvis and Christian Bakkerud was occupied. After 182 rounds Bouchut, Tucker and Rodrigues were forced to surrender. On the other hand, the race for Bakkerud, Jarvis and Albers long time without problems. After several competitors had failed on the front seats, the trio was found in the closing stages of the race already in fourth place again. So the team had a view of the biggest success since its existence. Only two and a half hours before the end of the race and after 331 laps completed, the Audi R10 TDI fell out due to gearbox damage.

Kolles & Heinz Union

To promote young talent Colin Kolles founded together with Werner Heinz Team Kolles & Heinz Union that uses two vehicles in the Formula 3 Euro Series since 2009. As a driver, Robert Wickens, Carlo van Dam, Johan Jokinen, Nick Tandy and Edoardo Mortara were used, but were without success point.
