Geographical location
Lemfoerde lies in the nature park near the Dumber Dumber and Stemweder mountain between Osnabrück and Bremen. The municipality is the administrative seat of the velvet municipality Old Office Lemfoerde, with the places Brockum, Hude, Lembruch, Lemfoerde, Marl, Quernheim and Stemshorn.

History
