List of municipalities in the Northern Cape
The list of communities in the Northern Cape leads all municipalities (Local Municipalities ) in the South African province of North Cape.
The Northern Cape Province is divided into 5 districts ( District Municipalities ) with a total of 27 municipalities divided. In the districts, there are 5 direct the district administration under standing areas ( District Management Areas, DMAs ). DMAs are characterized by their very low population and often belong to national parks or nature reserves. The DMAs in the Northern Cape are the Namaqualand in the district of Namakwa, the Bo Karoo (, Upper Karoo ') in Pixley Ka Seme, the Benede in ZF Mgcawu (formerly Siyanda ), the Diamond fields (, diamond fields ') in Frances Baard and the Kalahari DMA in John Taolo Gaetsewe. The DMAs in the province have an average of about one ten inhabitants per square kilometer. In the Northern Cape there is no municipality (Metropolitan Municipality ).
