List of municipalities in KwaZulu-Natal
The list of communities in the province of KwaZulu -Natal leads all municipalities (Local Municipalities ) in the South African province of KwaZulu -Natal.
KwaZulu- Natal ( KZN) is divided into ten districts ( District Municipalities ) divided with a total of 50 municipalities. In the districts, there are four direct the district administration under standing zones, known as District Management Areas, short DMAs. These are characterized by their very low population and often belong to national parks or nature reserves. Specifically, these are the Mkhomazi Wilderness Area in the district Sisonke, the Kamberg Nature Reserve in uMgungundlovu, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park in Umkhanyakude and the Giant's Castle Game Reserve in Uthukela. Average DMAs have about five people per square kilometer. The eThekwini Municipality Metropolitan with the city of Durban is the only city municipality (Metropolitan Municipality ) in KwaZulu- Natal and does not belong to the district.
