Lopez (Quezon)
Lopez is a Philippine municipality in the province of Quezon, in the administrative region IV, Calabarzon. It has 91 074 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 94 barangays. It is classified as a church of the first income class in the Philippines.
Lopez is in the south of the bay of Lamon, at the coast are smaller mangrove forests. Your neighboring municipalities are Catanauan and General Luna in the South, Macalelon the southwest, Calauag in the northeast, Gumaca in the west, Buenavista and Guinayangan in the east. The Maharlika Highway connects the town with the provincial capital Lucena City. The topography of the city is characterized by flatlands, rolling hills and mountainous landscapes. On the territory of the municipality lies the nature reserve Lopez Watershed Forest Reserve.
Lopez is connected via the Maharlika Highway and the railway with the Bicol region and the capital region of Metro Manila. The daily railway is operated by the Philippine National Railways.
In the village there is a campus of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and the Philippine Normal University.
