Maruša Ferk

Maruša Ferk ( born September 27, 1988 in Jesenice ) is a Slovenian alpine skier. It starts in all disciplines.

Biography

Your first FIS races contested Ferk in December 2003 at the age of 15 years. In February 2006, the first use followed in the European Cup. In the season 2006/ 07 she was with two wins second place in the European Cup overall and first of the combined score. At the Junior World Cup 2007 was Ferk third in the combination, fourth in slalom, fourth in the super G and sixth in the giant slalom.

On January 21, 2007 Ferk drove for the first time in a World Cup race and reached in the giant slalom in Cortina d' Ampezzo the 18th Place. After that, she was nominated for the 2007 World Championships in Åre and took both the slalom and giant slalom Rank 26 In the 2008 /09 season they reached on 30 January 2009 as a third party in the slalom in Garmisch -Partenkirchen their first podium. Until then, three 15 places had been their best results. Shortly thereafter Ferk participated in the World Championships in Val d'Isere and competes in all disciplines. In Super Combined, they drove as tithe to their best result.

A year later, at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver as she reached best finish rank 15 in the super combined. On March 6, 2010, she missed the World Cup downhill in Crans -Montana in fourth just under the podium. Previously had been her best result of the season 2009 /10, 13th in super combined in Val d'Isere. At the World Championships 2011 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen Ferks best results were the ninth rank in the Super Combined and the twelfth place in the downhill. In the World Cup they drove in the 2010/11 season but in no race into the top 15, but in the season 2011/12 they again reached the top 10 results.
