Mid-Atlantic Hockey League
The Mid- Atlantic Hockey League (abbreviated MEAL ) was an American Hockey Minor League, which was founded in November 2007 in the " Mid-Atlantic " region ( New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania). In February 2008, the game has stopped and in September of the same year, the league dissolved after just one season back on. The only champion of the League were the Indiana Ice Miners, who led the table at the time of the crash in the 2007/ 08 season with 31 wins and one defeat only.
Main aim of the League was to make it possible for former college and junior players to accumulate professional experience in order to make the leap into the higher leagues. League president was Andrew Haines, former chairman of the Atlantic Indoor Football League.
