Mitsubishi Delica#Fourth generation .281994.E2.80.932007.29

The Mitsubishi Space Gear / L 400 is equipped with optional all-wheel drive minivan and pickup truck from Mitsubishi Motors with up to nine seats. The chassis of the all-wheel version is similar to the Mitsubishi Pajero. The models are based on the Mitsubishi Delica 4th Generation. The Delica has so far been offered in Europe as the Mitsubishi L300, the luxury coach with panoramic roof of the L300 (which in Japan for some time bore the name Space Gear ) and the combi - vans or models were still offered in parallel with the Delica to 1998.

The Delica came as luxuriously equipped van in 1994 to Europe, was initially only offered with the 2.0-liter petrol engines. Only later was followed by the 2.4-liter petrol engine and 73 kW diesel engine from the contemporary Mitsubishi Pajero. The interior had a flat bottom on which the seats have been fixed variable. There was a separately controllable heating system for the rear, electric sunroof and electric blinds for four in- roof -ceiling windows. While initially two airbags were standard, there was an anti -lock braking system only with the diesel engine as standard with which it cost to start 44 690 DM in Germany. The 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine, which was coupled with an automatic transmission, there were in Germany not to buy. Only in 1998 came with the L400 panel van and minibus the real successor to the L300 with the 2.5 -liter turbocharged diesel engine in Europe market. Here, however, he made only 64 kW.

The Hyundai H-1 was almost identical, but had a more modern engine.

Due to the lack of success of the import of the L400 is already set 2001. The Space Gear, however, was not imported until 2003. Both models received no successor in Europe. But they were produced until 2006 and the Delica Space Gear Mitsubishi Delica D by: replaced 5.
