Moesa

Moësa at Cama GR

The Moësa is a 47 km long tributary of the Ticino in the cantons of Graubünden and Ticino.

It rises on the San Bernardino Pass the Laghetto Moesola above the village of San Bernardino, where it unites with the Ri de Fontanalba which flows down from the Val Vignun. The Moësa flows through the Misox direction Roveredo where the Calancasca and Traversagna discharge into the river. On a large part of this section performs the A13 motorway along the Moësa.

In Arbedo -Castione in the canton of Ticino, the Moësa empties into the Ticino. The Moësa is also popular for kayaking.

In its upper reaches, above the village of San Bernardino, the Moësa between 1820 and 1869 was spanned by the 30 meter high bridge Vittorio Emanuele.
