Netherlands in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
This article deals with the history of the Netherlands as a participant in the Junior Euro Song Contest.
Preliminary decisions
Since 2003, each year a preliminary round will be held under the name of Junior Song Festival. Except for 2003 and 2006, there were always two preliminary rounds. The overall result consists of ratings of adult and a children's jury and an audience voting via telephone and SMS.
Participation in the competition
2003, it took part for the first time and every year since then. Besides Belarus, the Netherlands is one of only two nations that have participated in every edition of the JESC. The highlight was the victory in 2009, one in 2011 occupied the second place. Twice the competition took place in the Netherlands instead: 2007 in Rotterdam and in 2012 in Amsterdam.
